Luís Costa

Luís Costa holds a PhD in Social History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, with the thesis "O documário no Cinema Novo: artifícios do real, grafias do Brasil (1959-1967)", defended in 2021. He was a visiting scholar at Columbia University between 2019 and 2020, in the Film Studies/School of The Arts department. He is a journalist and contributor to vehicles such as Folha de S.Paulo, BBC Brasil and Nexo Jornal.
