UMA OUTRA HISTÓRIA (1978 a 1988) destaca as contribuições fundamentais das mulheres cineastas para a forma documental no Brasil. Esses cinco curtas-metragens feministas, originalmente exibidos na televisão, em cineclubes feministas regionais e em festivais internacionais de cinema, abordam questões centrais do trabalho, dos bordéis da Boca do Lixo em São Paulo aos mercados têxteis de Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, em Pernambuco.

UMA OUTRA HISTORIA (1978–1988) highlights the essential contributions of women filmmakers to the documentary form in Brazil. These five short-form feminist works — originally presented on television, at regional feminist film clubs, and at international film festivals — address key labour challenges from the brothels of São Paulo’s Boca do Lixo to the textile markets of Santa Cruz do Capibaribe in Pernambuco.
